Regarding our Services
I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to you and all the team at Wilds who have taken part during the audit of our financial statements. From start to end the audit was performed with minimal disruption from your team.
As usual the audit meeting not only covered the financial statements but you have helped us to identify areas that will help us to improve our business going forward.
Over recent years there have been many changes taking place in our business. In that period you have provided valuable assistance on how to deal with our business issues and maintain focus on our longer term needs.
Once again, thank you for the services that your firm has provided to our business.
Follow the closure of Lispool Limited, I would like to thankyou most sincerely for all your help with the accounts and other matters while Lispool was trading.
Janice and Danielle are the ones I have generally spoken to recently, other than yourself, and they have always returned my calls and helped whenever I have requested assistance.
Before your time David Taylor had looked after Lispool’s accounts and he also gave very good service. Janice has always been available to answer queries about tax and payroll issues.
Lispool has been associated with Wilds since 1981 and I think that the service provided by Wilds has been excellent over all those years. It now just remains for me to offer you and all at Wilds all the very best for the future.
Thanks for all your help.
Dear Martin & Michael,
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thankyou for the service and advice you provide.
Michael, you are always on the other end of the phone or email to help with all our day to day queries and Martin, In our annual reviews you are fantastically positive and you always help alleviate any concerns I may have.
As a growing business your support is invaluable and I look forward to working with you and all the Wilds team well in to the future.
I am writing to say how delighted I am that we made the decision recently to move our business across to Wilds.
My personal affairs have been so professionally taken care of for a number of years and it was just a question of whether my company’s interests also would be taken care of in the same way.
Having met you and Lyanne now on a number of occasions I felt that this would be the case and this was further cemented when we hosted Susan for 10 weeks whilst providing cover for our in house accountant.
On all fronts I have been not only impressed with the level of service received but how comfortable I felt during these processes.
I have no doubt that Wilds are better placed than most to take good care of my personal and business requirements and having both under one roof makes a lot of sense.
I look forward to our long term future business relationship.
We have been pleased with the work that Wilds have done for us over the last year. We have a good relationship with the staff who are always friendly and they are very responsive in their communication.
Initially recommended by another client and do not regret it for one moment.

The service you provide are exemplary on a professional and knowledgeable yet friendly level. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for your team members. They always deal with me promptly and i am made to feel as I’m the only client they have to deal with.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wilds to anyone.
Jacky helped us obtain 100% of the finance we required at a reasonable rate when all our other sources could only obtain a proportion of the money we needed and that at an exorbitant rate.
A great ‘thank you’ to all at Wilds for yet another good result!
Dear Jacky & Michael,
I would like to thank you both and your team for the prompt and professional response to my enquiries linked with making a purchase at auction.
It is great to know that we have such a great team we can rely on at the end of the phone.
We look forward to further developing our relationship with Wilds as we move towards developing The Chinese Buffet into a national brand.
We have had a long and successful association with Wilds and have been clients since 1981.
We have always had the utmost confidence in their handling of our business affairs. Martin, in particular is always on hand with help and advice, and Florence’s help with our Sage and bookkeeping is invaluable.
We look forward to many more years of working together.
Regarding the Community
Just a quick note to thank you for giving myself and Alan the opportunity to work along side you, in supporting the local schools in your area.
I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and thought the idea of giving them a ‘project’ – all gearing up to the proposal to the bank for funding was fantastic. This gave them clear direction and focus, the final ‘business plan’ was an exceptional standard for 16/17 year old. The three students involved worked together to draw up a comprehensive business plan, using standards principles and innovative ideas. To produce a document of that standard is a testament to the level of support you and your team have provided them. Such guidance and support offered in conjunction with your everyday role’s – is yet another reason why Wilds fully deserves to be recognised as the Accountants firm of the year!
If Lloyds Banking group can support you in any similar activities, please do not hesitate to call.
Following a Crossroads event
The event was extremely informative about a range of issues, both in terms of marketing your business, protecting your business, and protecting your future.
I met some great people, made some excellent business contacts, and look forward to the next event in April.
Following a strategic planning day
I am writing to extend my appreciation and congratulations to both you and Donna for last Tuesday where we spent the day focusing on Strategic Planning. Your programme and presentation was practical, enjoyable and I would even venture to say invaluable.
The planning day was invaluable for four reasons:
1. We actually spent a day together working on our business. I can’t remember the last time that happened.
2. It confirmed that we are moving in the right direction and re-emphasised the key strategies we need to continue focusing on in order to get where we want to go.
3. It gave us additional ideas to think about and possibly implement in our business.
4. It will give us a blueprint to ensure the most important tasks are implemented within strict timescales.
I would have no hesitation recommending it to my friends and our business partner at every opportunity I get.Our company has been with Wilds for over twenty years now and it is great to see that your company is not just another auditor but an important adviser to our business.
Thank you again for recommending it to us and I look forward to more sessions to review and build on what we have started.
Following an Inland Revenue Investigation on behalf of another firm of Chartered Accountants
I wish to thank you very much indeed for the superb manner in which you dealt with this matter on my behalf and your excellent work on the figures and arguments submitted to the Revenue, which resulted in a most satisfactory outcome for my client.
The final offer including minimal penalties was obviously very acceptable to my client. Once again thank you most sincerely on behalf of my client and my practice.
Following an Inland Revenue Investigation
I just wanted to thank you very much for dealing with our recent tax investigation in connection with the exceptional items. This was a very complex area in which we did not have the knowledge or experience in to deal with ourselves. Your work on the figures and arguments for our categorisation of cost where superb and we are very happy with the successful outcome.
We are particularly overjoyed that the final figures involved where minimal and that no penalties were incurred.
Once again thank you for dealing with this matter on our behalf and thank you for your continued support.
Unlike the majority of other accountancy firms that i have worked with across the North West, Wilds is a lot more proactive by being prepared to offer a different level of service to local businesses. This is evident in the Conference that was organised in April, and more recently, with the Ambition Club. Both initiatives seek the help organisations by introducing new ideas for growth and development through ongoing support. It is an approach that is not offered through traditional accountancy.
Further confirmation of this is shown in your interest in your own development by getting to understand people’s motivation and behaviour within work using the Thomas International profiling system. DISC lends itself to providing detailed information about personality styles that can be used to help individuals and companies to understand themselves better and will add further value to what Wilds is able to offer and how they work with their clients.
I am looking forward to our continued relationship that will build upon Wilds uniqueness over the coming months.
Client Case Study
Overall Wilds provide the following services:
- Monthly processing and payment of payroll
- Weekly onsite bookkeeping
- Monthly Management Accounts
- Quarterly projections
These services are completed in a timely manner and in a format required to adhere to head office standards for returning the information. It means that I am confident that everything is being done properly and efficiently and it fits in to our organisation as any other department would.
Wilds maintain all the regulatory updates so that the accountancy function has become one that I don’t need to worry about, regular planned updates are all that is needed.
If Head Office visit, Wilds are always available to come onsite to meet with them.
The payroll team at Wilds usually request the salary information earlier in the month so they have time to process the salaries and upload the information to bankline. Along with the salaries they also upload the PAYE figure payable to HMRC ready for me to authorise the payments in a timely manner. These payments are then authorised by me after reviewing the figures uploaded.
Linda works onsite and become part of the team and is effectively seen that way by our customers and suppliers. She has worked hard on trying to improve our system and look at how it fits with the other departments. If she is ever absent Wilds have cover for her so the work can just carry on as normal.
Once a week Linda comes to the office to complete the weekly task of entering the invoices and updating the bank on our bespoke software. Follow up with Suppliers/Customers for overdue payments/queried invoices is also completed.
She also has access to online banking for Sefar to set up any necessary payments on behalf of Sefar. This includes processing Payment Runs using the system, and being able to upload a report to the bank which gives the bulk payments that are due to be made to all supplies in GBP, Euro and USD. Each currency is paid using that currency bank account.
Before the payment run is complete and authorised by myself, I sit down with Wilds to discuss the payments that are due to be made, in case of any discrepancies with invoices or any further invoices that need to be added in, all of the suppliers are paid in a timely manner and we can continue having a good working relationship with our suppliers.
The bank, wages, debtors and creditors are also reconciled and the vat return prepared with the EU sales list to be submitted.
Management Accounts and Quarterly Projections
Towards the beginning of each month Senior Manager from Wilds attends our office to complete the management accounts for the prior month. This includes a full reporting pack that is prepared in the UK format and in head office requirements. A meeting is held between Wilds and myself to discuss various aspects of the business, including detailed explanations of any variances with in the reports. This all happens before the final reports are submitted to head office so then I have sufficient information to inform them of said variances. The whole process if completed within a ten day turnaround of the month end.
In addition to the above we sit down quarterly to discuss and update the annual budges/forecasts, so I know exactly where we are heading, these reports are also submitted to the group and ensures we meet HMRC requirements in respect of the quarterly corporation tax payments.
As the management accounts are completed on a monthly basis preparing the year end accounts is a process made much easier, as all of the information is supplied, checked and discussed on a monthly basis. This process ensures I receive the audit and final year end accounts within a very short time frame, which I ready for authorisation and submission.
Within 10 days of the year end the accounts have been put together and ready for independent members of the Wilds audit team to come onsite to complete an audit for Sefar.
The audit is completed in the space of a week, year end meeting held, at which point the final audited accounts and the group reporting pack is available.
Around September time each year, I sit down with the Wilds tax team to discuss different options and scenarios to ensure we comply and receive the best tax position for ourselves.
Together with the monthly review, any changes in legislation relevant to us are communicated.
In case the above was not enough, I know they are only a phone call away and are always happy to help. Overall, I am very happy with the services that Wilds provide and the support and knowledge I have access to are invaluable.
