Now the madness of the end of the Tax Year is out of the way, we’re turning our attention very firmly to the end of the Payroll Year on 5th April. This is the first year we won’t need to submit forms P35 since, under the new Real Time Information (RTI) rules, we’ve effectively been submitting them weekly or monthly on behalf of our payroll clients.
It is still the Revenue, though, so there is still paperwork to be completed at the Year End. There’s a declaration form that needs signing and forms P60 still have to be distributed to employees.
HMRC have got together with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and issued a flyer to assist employers with their end of year obligations HMRC Flyer RTI
