HOW CAN WE HELP?
We are in ever changing times for the profession.
The Inland Revenue announces new regimes on a nearly daily basis, and then just as we as a profession are about to implement them, they defer them or cancel them.
Accounting standards are changing faster than the software houses can keep up with, and new products are being introduced which we are being told are going to revolutionise the way we work with clients.
As audit thresholds rise, we have fewer audits, yet the rules and regulations for these change on an ongoing basis as a result of failures by the larger firms, and the regulating bodies want to show they are taking action (but against us not them).
We are in an age where people want results now, but don’t want to listen to answers or explanations.
As if all this wasn’t enough to cope with, we have politicians who are going from having no money to making promises based upon them finding a money tree (aka additional taxes on our clients)
One constant throughout all this, is that we as a profession continue to deliver a high level of service to our clients, and despite what politicians may say about us, keep the cash flowing into their coffers. How long do we think the country would last if we stopped helping the Inland Revenue with their tax collection by telling our clients how much to pay, when and how.
We at Wilds are finding these changes hard, despite have a good strong team with many years of experience, and therefore we would expect that you would be similarly suffering.
