'Firm Gives Bubble Fun'
(Extract from The Bury Times)

RADCLIFFE-based accountants Wilds have helped bring smiles to staff and youngsters at a unique integrated children’s care centre.

Kids Kapers have taken delivery of a multi-coloured bubble tube worth more than £1,000 thanks to the generosity of the Blackburn Street firm and West Kirkby-based Experia Innovations.

Wilds decided to reward Kids Kapers after the Kearsley company failed to reach the finals of the SME category in June’s Bolton and Bury Business Awards, organised by the Bolton News and Bury Times.

Mr Mick Seddon, business development director of Wilds, which sponsored the SME section, said: “On reviewing entries for the small and medium sized businesses, there were organisations that had been more profitable and shown greater profit growths. However, there were a number of achievements in the entry by Kids Kapers that really impressed the judges.”

Wilds arranged to present Kids Kapers with a special award which has been kindly donated by their clients, Experia Innovations, which is involved in the manufacture and installation of sensory equipment.

Kids Kapers owner, retired nurse Mrs Carol Dyson, said she was “gobsmacked” to receive the bubble tube at the presentation at the company’s branch in Bolton Road, Kearsley.
Student Challenge
We asked the students to combine their efforts to research opportunities to set up a business, looking at the legislation, marketing opportunities and any other relevant issues. During the week they put their findings into a business plan that was put to a panel of three judges.
Youth Links
Youth Links, newly launched this year, aims to increase its youth’s opportunities to find employment and become active contributors to their communities. Businesses and young people work together to fill the missing link of work experience and training provided to the society and giving youths a chance to achieve experience rather than turn to gangs, violence and crime.
How do you as a business benefit from this?
With our team that have worked with and understood the young society today you can guarantee they will be punctual, well presented during all times at work. Also if you are recruiting for new employees by being a member of Youth Links you get an incite of how they would work for you and possibly give them the opportunity of being a young apprentice working for you.

Complete a quick form if you would like to be involved in the business side of youth links here and email it back to the email address below.
